How we score Webflow freelancers

Every person on this site is scored with one formula: seven criteria, each worth 0 to 1 point, weighted to a total of 100 and mapped to a display score between 7.50 and 9.80. The rules below are the complete rules; nothing is adjusted by hand after the formula runs.

Who is scored

The main ranking is our shortlist of 10 from a pool of 30 solo Webflow freelancers, found through Webflow's Certified Partner directory, Upwork and the names ChatGPT and Perplexity gave for “best Webflow freelancers 2026” on 2026-09-21. The four rankings by need apply their filter to the whole pool of 30, which is why they include people outside the top 10.

Every value comes from a public page: the person's own site, their Webflow profile, Upwork, Contra or LinkedIn. Each value is stored with its source URL and the date we checked it, and the tables show that date.

Step 1: points per criterion

Each criterion turns one public fact into points between 0 and 1. The seven rules below are applied the same way to all 30 people in the pool.

Webflow partner status

Full points for a tier label of Certified, Premium or Enterprise Partner on the person's Webflow profile; half points for a “Partner since” date without a tier label, or for listed Webflow exams; zero otherwise.

Marketplace record

The record r adds completed Upwork jobs, Contra hires and recommendations on the Webflow profile. Points grow with the logarithm of the record and reach 1 at 100.

Projects on record

The count k is the higher of two numbers: published case studies with a client name or live URL, and completed marketplace jobs (Upwork jobs plus Contra hires). The count falls into one of four bands.

Technical scope

We check ten technical areas: CMS, custom code, integrations, Ecommerce, animation and interactions, migrations, SEO, accessibility, design systems and localization. An area counts only when a case study or a listed service backs it.

Years on Webflow

Full years y since the earliest public date: the Webflow account creation date on a webflow.com profile, the Webflow “Partner since” date, or a first Webflow project the person states. Years are capped at 10.

An hourly rate earns 1 point and a project price 0.5, because a published price makes quotes comparable before the first call.

Availability as the person states it on the check date, on their Webflow profile, Contra or own site.

Step 2: the weighted score

The weighted score S multiplies each criterion's points by its weight and adds them up. The weights on top10nocodedevelopers.com total 100, so S runs from 0 to 100.

Step 3: the display score

The display score D maps S linearly onto 7.50–9.80 and rounds to two decimals; the order does not change. S_max is the highest weighted score in the main ranking (95.80, Alex Glevsky) and S_min the lowest among all 20 people shown on this site (39.47, Carlo Ciccarelli).

Missing values

A fact that is not public scores 0 for its criterion, and every table and card shows it as “not published” with the date we checked. Nobody gets an estimate: a person with no Upwork or Contra profile scores on case studies alone for criterion 3, and a person who states no Webflow start year gets 0 for criterion 6.

Order, ties and “Why #n”

The main ranking lists the 10 shortlisted people by S, highest first; equal scores would keep their stored order. The “Why #n” lines on each card name up to three criteria where the person's weighted points exceed the list average by the most:

Rankings by need

Each ranking by need filters the pool of 30, sorts the people who pass, and shows the same score D as the main ranking.

Best Webflow developers to hire: The 10 highest-scoring people whose own job title contains “developer” or “engineer” in our pool of 30, ordered by the main ranking's score.
Best Webflow freelancers on Upwork: All 8 people with at least one completed Upwork job in our pool of 30, ordered by the main ranking's score.
Webflow freelancer hourly rates 2026: All 13 people who publish an hourly rate in our pool of 30, ordered by the lowest published hourly rate in US dollars, lowest first, with equal rates ordered by score.
Best Webflow freelancers for US companies: All 12 people who publish an hourly rate in US dollars in our pool of 30, ordered by the main ranking's score.

Rates in other currencies are converted to US dollars at the ECB reference rate stored with each value.

Overlap with US hours counts the hours shared by the person's 9:00-17:00 local working day and 9:00-17:00 New York time, on the check date, checked 2026-09-21; the same count against Los Angeles time is shown alongside it.

For criterion 2 the record is 27, so the points are ln(28) ÷ ln(101) = 3.3322 ÷ 4.6151 = 0.7220.
